in current smartphones there are two types of CPU depending on the number of cores

1) Hexa core (2 + 4): used in all Apple Bionic CPU  

The first two clocked at high frequencies example Apple A15 Bionic (3.2 GHz dual-core "Avalanche" and 1.8 GHz quad-core "Blizzard").

2) Octa core  use in all Android CPUs with multiple configuration  (2+6) ,(1+3+4),(2+2+4),(1+1+6), (4+4)
